Music-Other Lives

I'm overdue on a music post, although those posts rarely get comments. They bring in the visitors, though. Got to keep everybody happy.

Today we focus on a newer band, Other Lives. They have released one full-length album which is self-titled. They blend beautiful strings with haunting melodies and well-thought out lyrics. Definitely recommended. I'll post one of the two songs of theirs that I have heard, E Minor. I am hereby resolving to listen to more of Other Lives. They deserve it.

Lyrics:
I forgot something of younger days when there were no cares
Clouds appear lit that made me ask how their lives could have been spent

Carelessly wasting our days
Inquires of what is the way
With no reply

When you were young there's a lightness around you, the world turns
But when you take back all the things that you've earned you find nothing at all

Carelessly wasting our days
Inquires of what is the way
With no reply

Where did it go now
All that you thought was worth a fight
It's all but become just
A passing thought in spite

Don't let it go now
Our lives could be much more than this
Let go and find it

  3. Other Lives played Lollapalooza this year and blew my freaking mind. This band will be huge. They are recording a new record.

  4. I have been spammed. Amazingly, that's the first one in 4000 unique hits. Hmmm...may have to add something to ensure it doesn't happen again.
